Pretty (and simple) Tablescape

So I am a little late for Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year holidays… but just saw this tablescape and thought it was pretty neat. 

By the way, we did make the roses out of fall leaves, however I forgot to account for them drying out. Ours definitely get crunchy after about 24 hours. Putting stems in water would have been a good idea 🙂 (But, who has time for using their brains and common sense when we have the holidays to prepare for?? Oh well, there is always next year!)

Since the holidays are now over and our household only has science fair projects to think about this weekend – woo hoo! – I can fully access my brain and share the following common sense suggestions on the candle and wine glass décor:

-Drip some melted wax onto the base of the wine glass then place the candle on it which will help to affix the candle to the glass bottom.

-Remember:
The wider the wine glass, the steadier the base of the support.
Try different types of glasses as well.
The height and width of the candle, will affect it’s stability.

Get creative and try other variations under the dome of the glasses- candy hearts for Valentine’s Day, fortune cookies for Chinese New Year,  little shamrock plants for St Patrick’s day, jelly beans or colored eggs for Easter, colored Hershey kisses,  gum balls, figurines, rubber balls … have fun!
