Peace

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me…

It truly is incredible to think about all of the turmoil in the world both near and far.
Many are struggling, many are hurting, many do not have enough.

It certainly is contrary to my excitement for clients who have recently closed in time to be in their new homes for the holidays and the joy I get in heading back to my own home to “deck the halls” with the kids in preparation to celebrate Christmas.

I have been quietly singing these lyrics  over and over in my head these past few weeks.  (It makes me smile to think how this one song can almost always get the whole congregation to sing along each and every time.)

“Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
With peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.”

Let’s all remember we can be a part of making a difference both for others and within ourselves.

With so much going on recently, my wish to all during this season is a simple one… Peace.
