To my dearest clients… and you know who you are 🙂
Saw this quote on Facebook the other day and just had to smile… It really is so true. We all can get caught up in trying to make a decision occasionally. But, truthfully, a prolonged torturous decision making process can waste time, create unnecessary anxiety, and cause us to miss out on opportunities (and some of those may be great opportunities).
I see this a lot of this in real estate. Buying a home and selling a home are definitely big decisions. Clients have to consider their current financial situations as well as what they anticipate for income in the future. Plus, they need to consider their lifestyles… where do they commute to work or do they need space to work from home? Do they have kids, are the planning to have kids, are older parents planning to move back in? Are they handy or do they prefer new construction or condo living? Do they need green space for pets or want space to create a garden? Is a garage a must or could they live without one?
So many buyers wonder, “What if something better comes on the market?”. Sellers wonder, “What if I could get more money from my house?”. The truth is none of us have a crystal ball to see into the future. Life is about making the best decisions you can with the information you have at the present time. That’s all any of us can do whether it be in our personal lives, professional lives, or in the middle of a real estate transaction.
Don’t let yourself become a flattened squirrel 🙂 There are very few things in real estate that can not be worked through. If you make a decision with a particular goal in mind, I will do everything I can to help you attain that goal whether buying a home or selling a home (and if I just don’t think it will work, I will let you know that as well!). The best part of my job is seeing smiling faces at the end of a transaction and I will work hard to get us there.
